5.2.5 Front Panel Replacement
1. Place F1A4 Control Box on an Anti-static mat, ensuring that the wrist strap is
being worn and is firmly connected to the Anti-static mat.
2. Remove the 6 screws from the Front Panel and pull the Front Panel away
from the case.
3. Remove PCB from the case (refer to 5.2.4 if required).
4. Unplug the blue ribbon cable.
5. Desolder all wires, at the PCB, from the coil plug, loudspeaker, switch and
earset connector (note wiring/PCB connections). Separate the Front Panel
from the PCB.
6. With the new Front Panel in position, solder all the wires to the PCB (refer to
Section 7 for PCB connections if required).
7. Reconnect the ribbon cable (ensure that there are two spare pins on the
loudspeaker side and three spare pins on the earset jack side).
8. Apply a spot of hot glue to the blue ribbon connector plug to hold it in place.
9. Refit the PCB into the case.
10. Go to Section 4 to retest the F1A4 Control Box.
